Continuing on from last post… I had only 3 1/2 hours of sleep before hearing the alarm go off for me to wake up to hea. Man did I feel like death after driving for 11hrs the day before to only get 3 1/2 hours of sleep. So I at least prepped decent for me to leave quick and get on the road to Nürburgring before 8 so I can get to the drivers meeting/brief. Leaving my house at 6 AM, getting gas at 6:15 and getting on the autobahn by 6:30 and remembering I have everything with me tools wise except my tire iron by 6:45 but too late to go back. Luckily I had a friend that was going to the ring as well so I asked if he can go to my house and pick up my tire iron when he is on his way!
The GPS said I’d arrive at 7:47AM but thank god for 1.1 bar of boost and some good tires I was able to get to there at 7:26 and followed a guy with a E36 drift car on a trailer to ensure I go to the right place. ( always works when you don’t know where to go but you are close) After getting there and getting my wrist band they tell me the brief is at 8:45… boy was a mad because of how much extra sleep I could have gotten but getting there at that time allowed me to meet the owner of New Mode Photography! A guy who spoke perfect English and definitely helped translate everything haha. During the brief there was word that an American Professional Drifter would stop by, and he was doing a shoot on the ring with a mustang.. Yup… you know who it is!
But here are pics of my car kitted and ready for drifitng!
Once the day started this 200sx imediatly caught my attention by how smooth and consistent she was!
Yup… ITS VAUGHN GITTIN JR.!!! He brought his RTR 2017 Mustang out to play and I got to actually tandem with him! He said my car was too fast lol due to me having too much grip in my tires and I need to up the tire pressure or stiffen the rear dampening.
More pics!
Needless to say the day was awesome
Huge shout out to Raphael De Los Reyes for showing me this event so I could attend!
Thanks bro!
